Powwow in Prague

I recently had the privilege of going to The Meetings Space Spring event, held in Prague. This two-day event gave me the opportunity to meet with lots of amazing people, including hotels, DMCs and other industry experts from all over Europe and the UAE. This type of event is invaluable when working across EMEA in keeping us up to date with industry trends, new event spaces and suppliers, and an insight into different countries.

Day 1: arrivals day and a welcome drinks reception at the amazing venue The Red Stag, right next door to our host venue, the Marriott Prague. The event was held over two floors of this incredible venue - a former Anglo-Austrian Bank - where we enjoyed a glass of fizz with some delicious local food and some fun and games provided by TMS for us all to enjoy!

Day 2: the first day of meetings, where I had 15 appointments in the space of a few hours, followed by my selected afternoon activity. I chose the Strahov Library for it’s elegant history and because I am a real bookworm! The evening entertainment and gala dinner was held at the beautiful Rudolfinum, where we enjoyed an incredible three-course meal, a high-tech light show and unique classical Czech performances.

Day 3: the last day of meetings was followed by more fun, as I got to stay an extra night in Prague at the beautiful Augustine Hotel and experience the ‘Destination Discovery Day’. Highlights were the Lobkowitz Palace where we toured with none other than Prince Lobkowitz himself!  We also took the tram up to Prague Castle for a tour and our final dinner was held at Prague’s newest 5* hotel, Almanac X Prague.
